Who is QuickQuote?

    top

QuickQuote is the Internet's leading insurance marketplace for comparing quotes and purchasing insurance from the nation's leading insurance companies. QuickQuote is a national broker, operating in all 50 U.S. states. Since 1995, QuickQuote has helped consumers find the most appropriate life and health insurance policies for their needs.

What makes QuickQuote different?

    top

QuickQuote has been marketing insurance products on the Internet since 1995, long before most of the online insurance brokers on the Internet today. In fact, we were one of the first three companies that came online in 1995. Our history has made us different. Is different better? We'll let you be the judge. Below are a few of the many reasons why we believe it is.

Is it cheaper if I buy through QuickQuote?

    top

The final premium rate you pay will be determined by the insurance company and will be the same regardless of who you apply through. If you choose QuickQuote, another online insurance brokerage or a local agent, your premium will be the same.

Can I apply directly through the insurance company?

    top

Most insurance companies require applicants to work through either a contracted agent or broker of the company. Very few companies sell insurance products directly to consumers.

What is the difference between and agent and a broker and which one is QuickQuote?

    top

These terms are often used interchangeably. By definition they are different. An agent is a representative of an insurance or financial services company and is often limited to selling products for that specific company. A broker is a representative of the customer seeking insurance and is not bound to the products of one particular company. Brokers are typically contracted with many different insurance companies. QuickQuote operates in this capacity as a broker.

Who is my agent/broker?

    top

QuickQuote is your agent/broker. We do not pass along your information to outside agent/brokers or insurance companies.

How do I start the application process?

    top

The first step is to obtain quotes from our Web site for the type of insurance you are interested in. From there you can request the application forms required for the company of your choice. In many cases you can either complete the forms online or download them directly from our Web site. Next, simply complete the forms and mail them back to us. We also have licensed Insurance Professionals on staff to assist you in this process.

Why won't your Web site allow me to enter more than one request for an application?

    top

QuickQuote only allows one application request per person in a 24 hour time period. This is to prevent 'shoppers' from submitting multiple requests with no intention of applying. If you have a legitimate reason for a second application, please contact us and we will gladly assist you. If you are making a second request because you were not able to download the application forms from your first request, please note that we automatically mail an application packet to all customers who've selected the download option.

Can I request multiple insurance applications for different companies?

    top

QuickQuote™ doesn't allow multiple submissions for applications for multiple insurance companies. This is to prevent customer confusion, and to help us better serve you. If you need multiple policies for multiple companies contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Am I guaranteed the rate shown on the quote?

    top

Quoted premium rates are not guaranteed. QuickQuote makes every effort to ensure our quotes are accurate and up to date. However, there are several reasons a premium rate may differ from the original quote. Reasons for rate changes between the time of the original quote and final approval include, but are not limited to:

My state is not in the drop down list. Why?

    top

QuickQuote™ strives to offer insurance in every state; however, there are some states in which we simply do not have partner insurance companies. It may be that certain insurance companies do not offer insurance in all states or some state laws may not be conducive to marketing insurance products via the Internet.

What do company ratings mean?

    top

Company ratings are provided to give you an idea of the overall financial strength and performance of an insurance company. QuickQuote displays company ratings from leading industry rating companies such as AM Best and Standard & Poor's. You can learn more about company ratings in our glossary.

Will I get spam if I give you my email address?

    top

QuickQuote does not participate in any opt-out marketing programs nor do we sell customer email addresses to marketing companies. In short, we do not spam and we do not endorse spam. The only email you will receive from QuickQuote is legitimate email necessary in the processing of your insurance application. We use email to notify you of updates, request information or provide you with details of your application status. If you receive marketing emails branding the QuickQuote name, please notify us and we will contact the responsible offender.

Why is it required to set up an account online when applying for insurance?

    top

We require our customers to set up an account for better customer service. This provides us with a way to further assist you during the underwriting process. We do not require an account to obtain quotes or to view any content. Only after you have made the decision to apply do we require you to establish an account with us. Please remember QuickQuote is your partner throughout the application process and we believe we can provide a higher level of customer service because of this practice.

I requested to download an application and I am having trouble?

    top

If you requested to download and print the application forms from our Web site, you must be able to view PDF files. This requires an appropriate PDF viewer. The most popular viewer is the free adobe reader offered by Adobe. If you are still having difficulties you can contact us and we will be happy to assist you. An application packet will also be mailed to you if you selected the download option.

I requested download and I still received on in the mail. What do I do with this new application?

    top

QuickQuote will mail an application for every download request. This is done to make sure you receive the application in the event you have difficulties with the download process. If you had no trouble downloading and printing the application forms from the Web site, you may discard the application you received by mail. If you had difficulties downloading and printing the application you can complete the application received by mail and return it using the postage paid envelope provided.

Where do I send my application?

    top

Please mail all application forms, premium checks and additional requirements to QuickQuote. Our address can be found in the contact us page.
